A new entry SUV called Rush has recently been introduced onto the Ghanaian automobile market. The seven (7) seater automatic vehicle, is powered by a 4 cylinder - 1.5Liter Dual VVT-i engine. Added to an engine technology that offers significant fuel savings. The new vehicle was unveiled to the public on the Osu Oxford Street. Welcoming the guests to the launch, The Managing Director, Mr. Takuya Kajiura said Ghana is the first country in the sub Saharan Africa division of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) to launch this new model. In his address to guests he explained that it is the resolve of Toyota Ghana to supply quality and durable vehicles at afforded prices to the Ghanaian customer. The Marketing Manager, Mr. Jerry Mensah indicated that the stylish and innovative product is an engineering achievement through the collaborative efforts of Toyota Motor Corporation and Daihatsu Motors. He again said with advanced features, the Rush is unmatched within its competition. Guests were given the opportunity to physically inspect the vehicle and book for test drives.

Since the incorporation of the company in 1998, TGCL has remained Toyota Motor Corporation’s (TMC) sole authorized distributor of vehicles and genuine spare parts in Ghana. The 20th anniversary celebrations started with an official launch ceremony to roll out activities. Speaking at the launch, the MD/CEO of Toyota Ghana, Mr. Takuya Kajiura, indicated that “The root of the company’s philosophy has always been commitment to customer satisfaction with continuous improvement”. He added that these principles have resulted in many local and international awards. Notable amongst these awards is the elevation to “Elite Hall of Fame” status by CIMG and again the TMC “Outstanding Customer Service Gold Award”. In commemoration of the activities, TGCL refurbished Female Ward 2 of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital. This project converted a single patient occupancy into a set up capable of accommodating two patients with a nurses secluded area facility. In addition to the refurbishment, management and staff of TGCL made two cash donations to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for a hole in heart and a kidney patient. The anniversary was climaxed with an endurance health walk from the head office on the Graphic Road to the Aviation Social Centre to encourage mutual relations between staff and management of the company.

This year’s Users Conference held in Kumasi was under the theme “Toyota, Your dependable partner within reach”. The conference gave customers the platform to share their concerns which were addressed sufficiently. They were also updated on the latest technological development in Toyota, our model line-up, Sales and After Sales activities and training facilities.
The second edition of the Kumasi Auto Show was beyond imagination. The purpose of the event was to bring all major brands in the automobile industry in Kumasi at one venue. Toyota Ghana being a key player in the automobile industry was part of the show to display a number of vehicles. We capitalised on the event to introduce the All-New Toyota Rush model to the people of Kumasi. Everyone was excited to see the new SUV entry model and its highly competitive price. Customers were not only introduced to our models, spot quotations were also generated for customers who showed interest. Customer satisfaction at its best!
