Toyota Ghana Co. Ltd., has recently unveiled two of their flagship products at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. The products introduced are: Independent Aftermarket Parts (IAM Parts) and Toyota Genuine Motor Oil (TGMO). In a speech delivered on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr. Kohji Yanaka, Ms. Natsuki Kamijo, Special Assistant to the MD said, “Toyota Ghana as a company with customer interest at heart, will always strive to apply innovative ideas in our operations to assure customers of our product quality”. She added that, it was on the grounds of this principle that the two products have been relaunched in Kumasi to serve our customers in the middle and northern sectors. The Independent Aftermarket parts (IAM) have been introduced by Toyota Ghana into the local market as an option for users and owners of aged Toyota vehicles to keep maintenance costs low vis-à-vis the value of their vehicles. Vehicle users are always tempted to or deceived into using fake or counterfeit parts to fix their vehicles due to the relatively higher cost of the original parts. The TGMO is an engine oil designed specifically for Toyota vehicles. It is specially formulated with optimum cleaning and protection capabilities for all Toyota vehicles and has been extensively tested to assure optimum performance in diverse driving conditions. It comes in three variants – 5W-30, 0W-20, and 15W-40. Speaking to the participants, selected from spare parts dealers, selected garages and fleet users in the region, Mr. Iddrisu Seidu, Aftersales Manager, advised Toyota vehicle owners to be careful of counterfeit products that are being widely circulated on the market. He added that the only assurance is to buy from a trusted dealer such as Toyota Ghana and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with using a genuine part. He said, “The introduction of IAM parts is to solve the challenges experienced by price-sensitive customers who are compelled to buy counterfeit parts for their old vehicles. We believe that the IAM parts when fully accepted by the public will help fight the influx of fake parts and the dangers they pose to road and vehicle users in the country. He called on owners of Toyota vehicles to patronize Toyota Genuine Motor Oil, which is the preferred oil for their Toyota vehicle.
