THE TOYOTA SPECIAL SERVICE CAMPAIGN

The Special Service Campaign is the Toyota owner NOTIFICATION program to inform customers about specific product or technical issues for which inspection and/or repair is being offered without an expiration date. These issues are typically customer satisfaction initiatives.

There is an ongoing Special Service Campaign being undertaken by Toyota Ghana Company Limited (TGCL) following the announcement by Toyota Motor Corporation that a number of vehicles SRS Airbag system s inflator are defective.

For the upgrade of the inflator module in the SRS airbag system on the front passenger side of a certain number of vehicles.

The campaign has become necessary as a result of the degradation of the airbag system due to prolonged exposure to high humidity, high temperatures and high temperature cycling. There is the likelihood that the airbags in affected vehicles may not deploy during an impact.

The models affected are limited to the range listed below and purchased from Toyota Ghana with the respective production years: Yaris: 2006 - 2012 Corolla: 2003 - 2013 Avensis: 2003 - 2008 Hilux: 2006 - 2014 RAV4: 2006 - 2010 Fortuner: 2006 - 2014

Toyota Motor Corporation has supplied the necessary parts for the SSC campaign. A specialized team from the Service unit will be deployed to the various regions across the country to carry out these service for our customers. Watch out for team at a city near you or confirm from the following Toyota Ghana Accredited Service Shops in the respective locales:

  • Gerco Ventures Ltd, Ho
  • Ansuare Company Limited, Tamale
  • CCTI, Cape Coast
  • Eusbett Service Centre

Sunyani TGCL has the adequate parts to cover all repairs however, in the event that these parts are not available during customer contact, Toyota Ghana Company Limited will notify owners to request them to bring their cars to our Service Centre to make the necessary replacements once the parts are available.

The process is estimated to take about 1 to 3 hours where all cost involved would be borne by TGCL.
